(La Esperanza, Acentejo)

This route, which starts at the same point as La Esperanza Sport, leads directly to the leafy, green jungle below the Corona Forestal, whose lush vegetation will delight nature lovers. These trails with light ascents, often dusty in the summer and full of large, deep puddles in winter, invite us to play with our bikes. The stop for photos above Santa Cruz, the capital of Tenerife and the spectacular views of the oldest part of the island, the Anaga massif, not to mention Gran Canaria, will easily fill up the memory of our mobile phones and cameras. We’ll then continue pedaling towards the southwest to reach our break stop at approximately 7 km and at just 400 meters of altitude. After savoring an exquisite Meat with Potatoes dish or a tasty sandwich we’ll start descending approximately 300 meters. A wide gravel path will require our full attention as we’ll have to be ready to brake at any time. We’ll continue pedaling in a westerly direction crossing a jungle and a variety of forest vegetation. This is a fun route that will push some to the limit of their cycling skills. We’ll then return to civilization, descending the mountain without much effort, and crossing the Acentejo region to end this pleasant day on the bike with a beer at the bicycle station.
